Looked at the tee-shirts available on the NaNoWriMo site - but I don't *need* one of those to startt writing either :-)

Yesterday someone mentioned they had only managed to squeeze out 35,000 words last year with absolutely no pre-planning and this time they were hoping to go all the way because they had characters and scenarios worked out in advance.

So...I can see that free-flow is allowed...although I am at least working on a starting point...or at least a scene-grabbing stunt :-)

In my next lifetime I am planning to be a writer. NaNoWriMo is the PERFECT excuse to start living the future now :-)

Stopped at Barnes and Noble in the new Prescott Mall Friday night on the way to a Cajun/zydeco concert and picked up my very own copy of Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott (or is it Annie...?) Anyway - have read it twice so it is obviously a book I need to own - plan to reread before November 1st.

Considered getting a laptop so I can write anytime - anywhere, not to mention I could probably use another business tax deduction...got a couple of weeks to decide on that one.
