NaNoWriMo 2003

Well, this November slipped by without a word - or stack of words - from me, what with opening the new store and all.

But Lulu looks interesting for self-publishing...

Oooooo - Blogger has finally added Comments...

Managed to get all the way to 51,231 words with a bit or re-writing on the last day - I really wanted to climb higher on the list of Arizona finishers and once the word counts were fairly stable Sunday afternoon it was easy to do :-)

Finished - does Happy Dance!
50,065 words and it is the day BEFORE Thanksgiving - last year I finished the day after :-)

Chris - you are a genius! THANK YOU for telling us we needed to reach 33000 words by the end of this weekend. It was a completely arbitrary number, but, coming from you instead of the voice in my head - it worked and I am now at 40270 and it is only the middle of the afternoon on Sunday. I can't believe it!

Whoo Hooo - officially passed the 33,000 mark by two words :-)
The finish line is sooooo in sight (the loose ends are another story :-)

And now I am at 25006 on the At Home, not for Public viewing section alone - whoo hoo! And noticing how I am padding my word count on ALL my writing.

Writing in two parts make the second shift a bit of a gift - like being able to pick up a package of extra words - I figure the at work section will be worth 10,000 words (already at 4400) so all I have left to write at home is 50000-25006-10000=14994...which looks like a lot, but it is only 1666 per day for the next nine days.

And as Chris mentioned, we DO have two weekends left :-)

Oh - I am at 25000 if I count both sections - the one at home and the one at work.

Even chasing flies starts to look interesting compared to the torture of writing...
